The Ferike are a people that devote themselves to learning and creativity and are described by other tribes as a race of scholars and artists. Their pastimes include writing long, fabulous poetry and poignant, convoluted stories. Ferike books (always beautifully bound and illustrated) often appear in Emunah markets, but selling at massively inflated prices. It is said that Thiede of Immanion possesses an entire library of Ferike literature. The Ferike are also renowned for their brilliant artists and musicians, but it is a rich har's hobby to try and collect any of their works.

Rich hara from other tribes, however, can - and do - buy harlings off the Ferike to breed with their own sons, hoping to increase the intelligence and artistic nature of their own families.

Ferike hara are fey and pale with large eyes. Surprisingly little is known about their social customs, for they are a private race. There are, however, many tales about the fabled Elisyin, a Ferike legend whom Ariaric of the Maudrah took as a consort. Between them, they produced three sons of biting, shrewd wit, all the more deadly because of their deceptively pretty appearance.

Time spent in a Ferike castle is supposed to be sublimely relaxing. The soft music enchants the ear, splendid paintings welcome the eye and the food Ferike cooks prepare is reputedly the best in the world for its subtlety of flavour.

NOTE: Currently the Wraeththu Companion is current only as of the original three Wraeththu books (Enchantments, Bewitchments, and Fulfilments). The Companion does not encompass anything is the new Wraeththu History series (Wraiths and two additional books), nor does it include changes made to the original books by Storm as she re-edited them for reprint by Immanion Press, with new content and appendices, and nor does it include material being developed for a Wraeththu RPG game. It is hoped that the Companion will expand over time to include these.

All original artwork remains the property of the artist, Ruby. No image may be taken or reproduced without permission.

The names and likenesses of the Wraeththu characters are used with permission of Storm Constantine, the recognized creator and author of the Wraeththu Chronicles (The Enchantments of Flesh and Spirit, The Bewitchments of Love and Hate and The Fulfilments of Fate and Desire) and the Wraeththu Histories (The Wraiths of Will and Pleasure, The Shades of Time and Memory, and The Ghosts of Blood and Innocence.)
