| Ruby started drawing from her imagination (fuelled by cartoons, puppets and fairy stories) before she could talk. Leaping forward a few years…the writings of the ultra-talented Gothic Fantasy author and goddess, Storm Constantine, inspired Ruby to contribute illustrations to Storm’s fanzines ‘Inception’ and ‘An Occasional Axolotl’. Then, while assuming the title of resident artist at ‘Visionary Tongue’ – a dark fantasy writers’ zine – Ruby was nominated in the Best Artist category at the 1997 British Fantasy Society awards.
Since then Ruby has gone on to produce cover artwork for the French edition of Storm's ‘Burying The Shadow’ novel as well as working with her on several projects, including ‘Bast and Sekhmet :The Eyes of Ra’ and most recently, images for ‘The Wraeththu Tarot Deck’ (glimpses of which can be seen on this site).
