German Grissecon Set for 2005 in Bonn
October 1, 2004

It's official: the first German Grissecon convention is set to be part of the the annual Feencon, July 9-10 in Bonn/Bad Godesberg, Germany. Seven years running, Feencon invites a crowd of over 2,500 guests for a weekend of table top gaming, card games, book dealing, and Lord of the Ring fans. Well-known authors like Wolfgang Hohbein or Monika Felten appear and in 2005 there will be a big Vampire LARP, Medieval music, a costume contest and a camp in the nearby country. Information: http://www.feencon-forum.de.vu.

Wraeththu fans will find their own panels, readings by Storm Constantine and and Wendy Darling, plus surprises from the the German organizing team. So far one definite event will be fashion show featuring the harish costumes designed by Sabine Wedemeyer and almost all the Wraeththu models.

Fans coming from the United States, Australia and the United Kingdom have a wonderful opportunity to stay in Bonn. In Bad Godesberg we have located two historic hotels with lovely, artful furniture and a price that is affordable for a weekend. At http://www.hotel-viktoria.de und http://www.hotelflora.de you can see pictures of the hotels. You can make your hotel reservation for next year (July 8-10, 2005, or longer, if you wish to stay) by sending an email to cobweb_parasiel@hotmail.com. We will make the arrangements for you. One note about the hotels is that Sandro Kopp has already checked out Hotel Flora and stayed there during the photo shoot we did.
