| The race of the Wraeththu was first developed more than twenty years ago by British writer Storm Constantine, with the first Wraeththu book trilogy published in the late 1980s. Since the books' original publication, there has emerged a growing fan community for this androgynous, hermaphrodite race — a mix of feminine grace and deadly masculine strength — and it seems they are now here to stay. Menu The original trilogy (the Wraeththu Chronicles) was published in the late 1980s in the U.K. and the U.S. In the early 90s, Tor Books published a 3-in-one omnibus edition of these three books. Finally, in 2003, Immanion Press released the definitive edition of the books, completely revised by Storm Constantine. The second trilogy (the Wraeththu Histories) is still in process; the first book, The Wraiths of Will and Pleasure, was released in 2003. The next two books will be published in 2004 and 2005. Histories books will be published by Tor Books in the U.S. and Immanion Press in the U.K. With the founding of Immanion Press in 2003 began a new series, Wraeththu Mythos, which is designed to include related novels, stories, and other material. The first Wraeththu Mythos work is Breeding Discontent, a novel set in the Wraeththu universe using both characters from the original books as well as entirely new ones.
One additional development is the new role-playing game (RPG), From Enchantment to Fulfilment. This game will published by Immanion Press and uses the "Storm" System. The first book is scheduled for release in the second quarter of 2004. "From Enchantment to Fulfilment" is a table- top RPG, and is suitable for both novice and experienced role players, as the game will cover all aspects of role-playing, from the basics to the more advanced.
